Tip #1: Are you road trip ready?

Ensuring you change your oil every 10,000 miles maintains longevity and engine performance in your vehicle.

Tip #2: Have you checked on your car battery lately?
We know you live your summer lifestyle like the “Energizer Bunny”, but your car battery doesn’t. Many Mercedes-Benz owners may be unaware of when their battery is weakening or depleting. Here are a few tips to help understand what causes a weakened battery and to help diagnose when it’s time to come in to get that battery charged up for wherever life takes you.

• Weak batteries are indicated by slow start-ups, difficulty starting-up, pro-longer battery warning light indicator, or if various systems have intermittent warnings. These warnings may disappear while your car is in motion, but if they persist, we highly encourage you to come in and get your battery checked.
• Cold weather causes your battery to operate at higher power needs and lowers battery capacity.
• Extended period of hot weather can reduce service life of your battery.
• If you’re driving short distances frequently this can also drain the battery if you’re not re-charging properly.
• Batteries can become weak if your vehicle has been sitting for a longer period of time.

Tip #3: Dust, pollutants, pollen, oh my!
Mercedes-Benz charcoal infuesed air filters work to remove dust, pollutants, and pollen from the inside of your car. Keeping the air you breathe free of debris, you’ll need to periodically replace the air filter. How do you know if you need to replace your cabin filters?

• Weak air flow when using the heat and air conditioning.
• Are you noticing more dust than usual on interior surfaces?
• We recommend replacing the filter anytime you come in for your routine Service B maintenance.
• All Mercedes-Benz cars are equipped with both dust and cabin filters. Your Service Advisor can check which filter needs to be replaced at the time of your service.
